Top 10 Throwback Songs for your Wedding Reception
Want your guests on the dance floor all night long? Us too! Over the years we have found the best way to achieve this is through an energetic performance, reading the room and adjusting as needed, and the main topic today: song selection!
There are a few essentials for creating an amazing and unique set list for each event. We pull from genres that our clients enjoy, learn songs that reflect the different cultures of the couple, take a few special requests, and then add in a some absolute classics that always create a party on the dance floor. While every wedding is unique, there are some songs that never fail to get people moving and grooving. From there, we like to add a little Sound Society twist to make these old tunes fresh and fun (No cheesy wedding songs here!). This can be a trumpet solo, a musical breakdown on the chorus, crowd participation, or a slight change in the songs’ arrangement. While our set lists will include everything from Motown and Classic Rock to current hits, it always gets the crowd singing along when we incorporate some fun Throwbacks.
